Leave the Judging to God

"But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you are not destroyed by each other."
Galatians 5:15, International Standard Version

I have seen it all before. Schisms in the church for whatever disagreement or biblical interpretation you can think of.  Christians unable to worship together, sit in the same pew together, not being able to have communion together in order to  "keep the scriptures pure".

Today it is the divisiveness caused by politics, Christians condemning other Christians for their political or personal beliefs as if it is impossible to be a Christian unless one aligns with one's way of thinking.

If you really think about it, the issue is not political and the real culprit is diversity of thought.   This is how we were created. It is the price we pay for not having a mundane life, where everybody in programmed to think and act exactly the same.  How boring that would be, walking around like robots, always in total agreement with each other.

Our creator knew what he was doing.  Right from the get-go we find Cain and Abel adopting different life styles; so different that it resulted in homicide.

We may all be equal under the law, but we sure are not equal.  Some of us have extra talents that others lack, have different emotions and trains of thought. One cannot expect others to adopt the same values and principles as you and think that only then are they right.

Jesus commands us to pray for our enemies and to love those who persecute us. No exceptions, no "buts".  Pray for the healing of our country, and let's leave the judging to God.
